What is Food Insecurity?
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as having reduced quality and a lack of variety of food or as having recurring issues with regular meal access leading to disruptions in nutrition.
100% of those we serve are classified by the USDA as Very Low Food Security. The choice between food and other necessities - like shelter, heat and medication - is a daily one.
A program of Vinfen, the Point After Club is a community of individuals in recovery from mental illness - in employment, education, social activities and relationships, life skill development, housing, connecting to community resources, health and wellness, arts-based rehabilitation, and advocacy.
Bread & Roses partners with PAC to fight food insecurity faced by its members with the monthly delivery of meals, grocery staples and prepared meal components.
